It makes sense of course, if you are going to block the road for works do it during lock down. But good grief the noise and dust when we are all captives in our flats. The choice is between keeping the windows closed to try and mitigate the noise, but roast, or keep the windows open, lose your hearing and choke on the dust!!!!!! Well on the bright side - this is for the 5G network which we are all going to need as self distancing seems to be our new normal and zoom the new way to keep in touch!!!

If you don't get road works you may be likely to get neighbours doing noisy DIY or major gardening projects.

One of the Parish Councillors for the suburb where I live has taken to blaring out rubbish music on his mobile disco to his neighbours. All I can say is that I'm glad I didn't vote for him!

3. The open road

Folks,

I'm going to confess that I took the motorcycle out and did some miles. I'll pretend that I was social distancing inside my helmet, but really I was letting off lock down steam. Clear roads on our crowded island are a rare rarity.
