Having spent two years as an exchange student in Birmingham and London, such is not surprising in the least, as far too many people have a deep-down sense of English supremacy. Not generally British, as the Scots and the Irish are barely human in these people's minds. Boris Johnson is their perfect representation!

(11,920 posts)who live in the UK but I was able to really see the racism among some of those friends when talking about Brexit. I had to stop communicating with one due to his racist jokes and memes.

Liz Truss on the other hand campaigned for Remain in 2016 but after that had a damascene conversion to the Brexshitter path. And when she stood for leader she was telling Brexiteers exactly what they wanted to hear. Unfortunately, her fondness for fantasy politics backfired very quickly.
