UK Cash Crisis - Joe Blogs

In this video I discuss the ongoing crisis in the UK. The GDP figures for Q4 2024 reveal that the Economy achieved fractional growth of 0.1%. Whilst this means that the UK has avoided a technical recession, actual growth is lower than originally forecast by the OBR. As a result UK tax receipts will be lower than forecast in the October Budget leaving the UK with a cash crisis meaning that the UK faces the prospect of either increasing taxes or cutting spending.
