Hey Du'ers!
Is is common for PC speakers to all of a sudden not work? My system shows the speaker with a little red x and thinks the speakers aren't plugged in, but they are. Unplugging and replugging yields nothing. Ideas? Suggestions?

If that doesn't do it, reboot. That has solved 99% of my sound problems over the years.

are they plugged into the wall?

I caused the problem and fixed it when I realized 'oh, that input color doesn't match the jack. It's the one NEXT to it!' Poof, problem solved.....

Maybe you need new speakers. Your speakers maybe not compatible to your PC.
I've experienced same problem before and I found out that my speakers is not compatible in my PC.
