Do I need Windows Live Essentials?

I saw it today in the list of "uninstall or change"

I use Chrome and have Windows 10.
I would like to get rid of any extra stuff I do not need on my laptop.
Thanks

bloatware. How much RAM and storage? Is this a new laptop or did you run the free upgrade to 10 from 7?

... but it depends on what you do with your computer. If you have to sign up, create an email account, etc., I'd say no, that it is just another way for Microsoft to collect your data.

I don't use it on my personal computers, and we don't use it at work (and I set up all the PCs)

I also don't use Edge. you can set the default to IE 11

You can google to find out what 'bloatware' you can get rid of, depends on what manufacturer the laptop/pc is. Dell loads up all kinds of bloatware that I regularly remove.

then you do not need Windows Live Essentials.

I, personally, avoid using all MS software except for Windows and Office.

I, personally, wouldn't put anything in MS cloud storage. (Others won't give privacy either. They completely own your data when you put files on their servers.)

I, personally, believe that MS is hostile to its layperson users, but kisses ass for its business customers.
