Amazon Go cashierless convenience store opening to the public
https://www.seattletimes.com/business/amazon/amazon-go-cashierless-convenience-store-opening-to-the-public/Amazon Go is a go for the masses.
The retailers cashierless convenience store will open its doors to the public Monday, a debut that follows a nearly 14-month trial run open only to the Seattle companys employees.
The store requires customers to scan their smartphone on the way in, tracks them with cameras and other sensors as they browse, and, when they take an item off the shelf, adds it to a virtual cart. Groceries are charged to the customers Amazon account when they leave with their goods.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, the store is open to anyone with the Amazon Go smartphone app and a linked Amazon account.

What if you pick something up & then set it down in a different location? It will be interesting to see what kind of problems they have with this.

in money from jobs. It's all a pretty lame affair. I doubt too many in gov. think of the future, let alone plan.

And doubt I ever will. Guess I'll just have to spend my money elsewhere.
