Issues with websites

I've tried so many methods to fix this, but it seems every now and then, sites I've been using for a while will not load. It's become more and more of a problem lately. No matter if it's Chrome or Firefox, the site will refuse to load properly. Chrome will give me a ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE. And Firefox will simply just not load without a reason. I've tried to reset my network, I've cleared caches and browser cookies on both. I even installed Opera and the same issue was happening and that was a fresh install of it. I don't know what else is causing the issue outside of my computer is blocking access to the sites.

I had a similar problem on a very old laptop I'd been using.

More & more sites are loading multiple ads & videos at start up on their sites.

I switched to a desktop with I think 32 Gigs of ram. Problem solved. 👍

I can see by your troubleshooting steps you've tried the 'suggested' stuff on the web, to no avail.

But this page has a lot of stuff ... might try all this ...

https://windowsreport.com/err-empty-response-windows-10/

If no love with any of it, I'd try plugging in to the router with a physical network cable just to see if it goes away.

Wireless NIC's are notoriously flaky/don't last forever.

Another device - one that you know is working. See if the same thing happens. I reckon this is the first step in diagnosing the problem - and if it's your problem or your service providers!

Didn't say what kind of device - phone, tablet, laptop etc? Also what kind of connection?

When you say Reset the connection - did you do ipconfig / release-renew through a command prompt?

It seems you have tried a number of things. There may be something on this page that will help:

Same provider, no issues on those devices. It's my PC that won't and if I use a VPN which I don't want to, it loads the page. No idea if the ISP is blocking the sites on the computer directly or what

Is interesting. Do you have the VPN installed and are not using it? If so, try completely uninstalling, even to the most thorough level of removal provided by Revo uninstaller.

I wanted to see if my IP was the one causing issues. I used it and the sites began to work. But I don't get that. My IP works on a phone and tablet, but why not my computer specifically?

Almost out of ideas. All I can suggest now is check Firefox options (network settings) and have a fiddle with the proxy settings. Obviously you won't be able to set a manual proxy.

Last option; can you do a system restore and rollback to when it worked?
