Oculus Quest 2 question.

I tried this VR technology over the holidays. Got to play a few holes of virtual golf. Incredible experience. I was thinking of buying one to keep myself entertained, but...

do you need a Facebook Acct to set this up? Or is there a work around to activate? It pisses me off that I have to join the Metaverse to use this product technology. A deal breaker, in fact.

Is there any other VR solution that matches what Oculus is doing?

Meta is looking for ways to eliminate that requirement, so I will be interested how others respond to this thread

“Yes, for now. Meta is working on alternative ways to log in to your Quest and Quest 2, but, for the time being, a Facebook account is still required to operate either headset.”
