3. Assuming you don't have the manual: Look up the brand & exact model and google it + manual

Several websites download pdfs of just about every appliance and electronic device-- most are free and you can download them to your computer for this and future needs.

Without it (and assuming it is not something simple that unplugging and letting it reset won't fix) we'd all likely just be guessing...

Second…is the remote charged or out of battery power? Third… is the ‘eye’ on the remote clean?

Sometimes it’s best to go to the simple fixes first.

5. LOL, friend was trying to be helpful and wanted to show me where the manual button was, I was not aware, she pushed it,

I have fresh batteries and I agree that it's best to try the simple fixes first. I'm still working on it
