suddenly You Tube won't load. EDIT/UPDATE - reboot worked

yesterday I commented to someone I have no problem watching videos - https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1018&pid=2103244 and now I can't get the site to load. last night I was watching videos (at you tube) just fine, today I can't get to the site at all. I can see videos fine from DU but if I try to go to the actual page either from the subject line at the top, or by copy-paste from the link, it just won't load. can't get to it from any book marks either. this is strange.

firefox on an old windows machine. just put it to sleep last night haven't tried rebooting yet, will do it now.

any ideas?

1. It does seem to be running sometimes a little slow or not reacting. Not 100% but enough to notice.

2. I have been trying all day

again, can see fine on DU or on phone, but desk top just won't load.

3. The times I've tried Firefox it always seems slow and has issues with some things, can you install Chrome browser?

Chrome seems to always work well for me on my windows machine and of course on my Chromebook...

4. reboot fixed it

how strange, wonder why it did that?
