(68,473 posts)In a MacPro, just put it inside one of the available drive bays.
If you can afford it, get another drive and use it for Time Machine.
TM and CCC may seem similar but they're not. CCC will create a bootable drive. In the event your drive fails, just reboot into the clone and keep on working.

(4,126 posts)NYC SKP and NV Whino recommend external drives. Stinky The Clown recommends an internal drive or two, and Carbon Copy Cloner in addition to Time Machine.
All these recommendations are appreciated. I'll have to think some more about my options.
