Is Safari starting to really suck?

It seems to hang up halfway through accessing DU, and it doesn't recover unless I cancel and reclick my DU shortcut.

Seems to be happening a lot more with other websites, too.

Switching to Chrome for a while. No problems so far.

I abandoned it many years ago in favor of Firefox, which works great.

it's not just DU, it has been having a tough time accessing pages.

I switched to Chrome a couple weeks ago. Much faster. Maybe not as slick looking.

because I use Firefox with adblockers on my laptop, and other browsers on the ipad. I have noticed that DU is slower to load than most other sites on both computers. Sometimes it just seems to stall out.

The only other sites I have problems with are the ones that are "optimized" for smart phones or whatever; the sites with all those flashing scrolling whizzing irritating things. Also Huffington post, that site is a dog and I never browse there.

From one direction it sucks, from the opposite direction it blows.

and it seems fine to me.

Yes, it does hang up occasionally when accessing DU lately. Doesn't bother me much though. I assume it'll get better.
