Wow...a browser for IOS that actually plays Flash content.

It's called Puffin, and there are iPhone and iPad apps for it. I just found out about it, but it looks like it's been around for a little while.

Yeah, who cares about Flash anymore, right? But I found out about Puffin after hunting for a way to watch CBNC or MSNBC for debate coverage. They stream a live "international" version via a European web site, but it uses Flash video. The web site, livenewschat.eu/politics runs Flash from the cloud, so it's not using you IOS device's processor. It will play video screens in a full window, or in the web page. Admittedly, it rough around the edges when displaying web pages, but damn it is FAST. To see the problem with web pages, just load DU on Puffin...it can't deal with your iPhone very well, and doesn't display the mobile version. It just tries to work with the full desktop version, but if you're only using it to watch a video it will display it full screen, so it doesn't really matter.

It's at least nice to have another option. It's Puffin in the Apple app store, and it's free.

Sometimes I want to use flash. I don't know why they didn't include it on the ipad in the first place.
