Disc drive for MacBook Air

I recently found a bunch of discs with photos I took years ago. I would love to view them but unfortunately my MacBook Air doesn't have an optical drive. I have been looking at different dvd drives for macs but I don't think I can use the Apple SuperDrive because I only have usb-c ports. Does anyone have any recommendations for one that works with Airs?

I got a CD/DVD drive from them to use with my MacBook Pro, which has only Thunderbolt/USB-C ports. The drive connects with USB 2.0, so I use an adapter to connect it to the computer. Works great, no perceptible latency.

I've not checked the prices, but I'd expect to pay a premium for a native USB-C optical drive. The adapters to get an older one to work are going for under $10 ... not a recommendation, but fyi!

Reminder to self, google first, then reply. The native drives are as cheap as the older USB style drives.

There are at least a couple that have both kinds of plugs on their cables. See the entries on https://www.rswebsols.com/reviews/product-reviews/top-10-best-selling-external-optical-drives
