Bought new Mac 27inch desktop few months ago

My old one 2008 still works but can't update anymore and it gets hot very quickly. So gave to hubby to play with until it dies.

Meanwhile I am missing my old one! Went to play a dvd today and just realized they don't put them in anymore. I know they have a bunch of ones you can connect by usb but I don't want anything complicated I just want to plug and play.

What is the best one to get for me? I also saw a lot of them don't work for Blu Ray which most of mine are.

Is it worth doing or should I just use my player on tv in living room? Sheesh! I was just trying to stop hanging out in living room, this being stuck in house thing is driving me insane!!!

Just a USB and a power cord most likely.
Check all your inputs as they vary on these models.
But USB should do you fine.

stick it on the back with Velcro.

I found a big bag of Velcro when i was cleaning out drawers and said I'll bet I can use this to reduce clutter around the house. It works great!!

$49.95 from Amazon- LG GE24NU40 Super Multi External drive. It reads and writes also does Blu-ray but Apple doesn't support that so too bad.

Then you can play on the new Mac. The Mac app VLC is what I use. I hope its still available.

Just a thought.
