I have an iPad of distant vintage. Not sure how old it is.

I need to buy a cover for it, to use as a stand and to protect it.

Any idea how I should go about doing this, given that I don't know how old it is?

Thanks in advance!

the video went out. Comes on and then goes dark in a minute or two. I'd love to fix it, but I think the repair part cost $400. So, it sits there doing nothing. Bought it about 20 or so years ago.

it will give you the model name. Knowing that, it is then a simple google search to find existing accessories.

I just typed my question into Google and the answer you gave me is the very same thing I got!

Now I know my model #! It was one of the earliest models, either late 2013 or early 2014!

Now I will look for accessories, and thanks so much!

Validation is important.
