Can't find the password for my macmail

.... only the dots. Any way to find out?
It's not on the Keychain.
Are they stored somewhere? I have an extensive list of passwords on an encrypted file, but that Mail account is so old that the password got overlooked.

My Mail program at xfinity must have been hijacked and stuff bounces off the macmail application saying it can't send because it can't find an address I have never seen before.

I now speak fluent Filipino and Hindi... to no avail.

i went to my nearest apple store — who just had me
call
to Applecare.

i hate to advise a long drive or another phone call.
do you have another user account on the Mac ?

For an iCloud e-mail account, it should be your Apple ID password.

That would explain why when I opened up "Accounts" on Apple Mail, the iCloud mail password never showed up.

Odd that you got dots. Try your Apple ID password (i.e. iCloud)

3. Pretty sure you'll need to contact Xfinity on this one. As they have your Xfinity Mail password.

I had similar issues w Xfinity/comcast a couple years back. Needed their customer service group to straighten it out.
