Does anyone have any idea why

An android phone suddenly can’t send or receive pics from an iPhone ?
My daughter’s android just started doing this … I have an iPhone and we’ve been able to send receive pics all along but now she can’t with her phone.

Any ideas would be great

1. By what means?

If you are using messages, they go via MMS (or whatever) to android.

You may also have slipped into Apple's HEIC format (I dunno, an upgrade turned off my safari extensions ... so you never know)
Go under Settings -> Messages and make sure MMS is on.
Go under Settings -> Photos TRANSFER TO MAC OR PC, and check Automatic (which means convert HEIC to jpg)


Does email work to transfer photos?
Can't think of others at this moment.

No idea of android settings. It has been a very long time since I had one.

2. Happened to me also. Had to update my iphone and that solved the problem.

Have the iphone user call for support and that will do it.

4. I have an Android, I can't send a text message to my niece that has an I Phone unless

I include a photo with it.

5. On 10/14

She could send txt or pics or both to my iPhone
On 10/15 she couldn’t and still can’t send or receive pics to my iPhone …
We’re working on it
