So many people are saying that Kamala and Democrats did not find the right message to win the 2024 election.
I guess that is technically true, but they found the right message for me.
The only message I care about is how to save our free country from "dictator wannabe" and "fascist to the core" Trump.
No other issue is going to seem important if we lose our freedom.
.
Let's keep trying to persuade our fellow citizens that freedom is the most important issue.

(14,316 posts)It's not "wrong" to use a negative message, for example, against oligarchs, and especially Putin and company.
The hopeful and positive messaging was swamped by constant and despicable racism, misogyny lies and slander.
I posted about this and some didn't get my "alternative" (in hindsight) messaging strategy.

Here's the suggestion.
Scare tactics, hate, smears and exaggerations "trump" hopeful and positive messaging.
Is it "wrong" to use strawmen in a campaign? How about Putin, the founder of this shitshow?
History will show that he or his blackmail was behind it all.

(262 posts)Our problem was not Kamala or her message. She performed and delivered as perfect as we could have asked any candidate.
We cant do an autopsy looking for signs of poison when theres obvious bullet wounds.
1.) Joe Biden: He got out too late. I love him and Im beyond thankful for him. But we pulled a Hail Mary pass and are surprised it didnt work.
2.) Jaimie Harrison has got to go. Chuck Schumer needs to go. We need new leaders and a new image. We shouldnt be fighting for margins. Our policies are popular. Its our sales team. They suck. Its unacceptable to me that Joe Biden was passing one thing after another and there was no support or messaging from democrats. Our victory laps were pathetic.
I want Harrison gone a replaced by: Pete Buttigieg, Mitch Landrieu, Barrack Obama and our leader needs to train hundreds of other surrogates. At this point to me the fact that we arent at a veto proof majority is unacceptable.
3.) The American people are pretty dumb, but with the right message we could have gotten ahead of inflation and laid responsibility on Trump.
4.) Kamala was hidden in the background for 4 years. People didnt know her very well. And with the late start and rush to the Convention if felt more like a Coronation to people. She was a historic candidate and maybe enough people didnt believe she earned the nomination. Idk if they would have cared if it was a white man, but for minorities its important that everything is fair. 🙄
5.) Even with all that
Im not convinced that the election itself was fair. Im not going down any rabbit holes, not wasting my time. I just have a weird feeling. Trump didnt even seem to be trying. He was truly just flexing his flab at the end. Her rallies were way different than his and his were so different from 2016. I dont know a single person that didnt vote and the swing voters in my life that went for Trump in 2016, went for Biden in 2020 and all voted for Kamala. All. I didnt see anyone go back to him.
