Barack Obama
Related: About this forumFYI: The Barack Obama group has been moved to the "Politics & Government" Category
The old "Democrats" category will change to "Democrats 2020" and will only hold groups for 2020 primary candidates.
Thank you for your understanding.

I don't see why Barack Obama is no longer considered a "Democrat".
Why not just leave the "Democrats" category and ADD "Democrats 2020"? To many that would seem more logical. Many members are more accustomed to going to "Democrats" to find groups about prominent Democrats.
On the other hand, I've been on this site for more than 13 years and I don't recall ever going to "Politics and Government".

(22,585 posts)The "Democrats" category is about to go away entirely. In a few days the groups currently listed under the category "Democrats" will be retired. The category will be renamed to "Democrats 2020" and we will fill it with new groups for the current crop of Democratic presidential primary candidates. Since neither Barack Obama nor Hillary Clinton are included in that list, we decided to move their groups to this location instead, as opposed to retiring them.
