Dennis Kucinich won't dispel rumors of another run

Former Ohio U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich is a rumored candidate for Cleveland mayor or Ohio governor. In an interview with cleveland.com, he said he's keeping his options open.

Catching up with Kucinich: Former Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich on Friday didn't dismiss rumors that he may run for Cleveland mayor or Ohio governor.

"I keep all my options open," Kucinich said during a meeting with cleveland.com.

"While Kucinich wouldn't confirm or quash the rumors, it was clear that his focus was much sharper on the state than the city. He's been paying close attention to what's going on in Ohio and has strong opinions on where the state is headed," cleveland.com reporter Robert Higgs writes."

would endorse him and raise funds for him?
I think it's doubtful.
Dennis has burned a few bridges along the way.

It's a great time for more progressives to get involved, even though he may be a bit more so than some. I heard him speak when he was running for President, and I do like his ideology.

Newbie here, as well as to forums in general. I'm in NH, considering a move to CO and wanted to explore other information sites than just City Data.. as I am looking for a blue zone to land in.

Former U.S. representative and Cleveland mayor Dennis Kucinich has picked Akron Councilwoman Tara Samples as a running mate in his bid to become Ohio’s next governor.

Kucinich met Samples with their family and friends Friday at the councilwoman’s church in downtown Akron to announce the ticket, branded as a “Power To We The People” campaign of progressive, anti-establishment values.

Afterward, Kucinich put his arm around Samples’ shoulder and said: “This is a moment for the Democratic Party to wake up. The grass roots is waking up. Our motto … doesn’t say ‘Power to we the party,’ it says ‘Power to we the people.’ ”

Speaking at Burning Bush church, Samples said she will continue to serve on the City Council while she campaigns with Kucinich.
