Need Help Responding to FB Poster on VP Biden

Can anyone help me with facts here? Someone on FB is spreading info that Joe Biden is using taxpayer money ("millions&quot to fly home for weekends and go golfing. I'm google searching and only coming up with rightwing talking points.

Can anyone help me with ..um.. FACTS to respond to this?

1. Why not ask him to come up with his OWN facts?

It's not your moral obligation to prove a negative.

2. YUP ... always ask them for thier source.

Not only does it keep you from wasting lots of time trying to figure out where their info came from, it also helps narrow the discussion to the sources(s) they provide. If you leave it open, they wiggle free, and run off in some new direction of whining.

3. I checked the sources

I did a thorough google search before i posted here, it is definitely a right-wing "news" item and I am sure that is where they will source their information. What I was not able to find, was a good factual report disputing it.

That is why I came here.

Did they give you a source originally? You did not provide their source in the OP, so its not like we could help you find a counter source to it.

As it stands, an attack on Joe flying from DC to Delaware seems weak on its face.

5. Fly home? To Wilmington?

Joe was famous for taking the train home when he was in the Senate.
There's was a picture of Joe playing golf last week, or the week before, so that's probably what started this.
I suspect that this is typical conservative projection, once again.
After all, Boehner spends more time on the links than all of them...

He is free to spend that income as he sees fit ....

The cost of flying home, and the cost of playing golf in posh private golf courses, are no more than the costs paid by Republicans in government ....
