Free Tip #2...An easy, very cheap way to clean tarnished discolored silverware

Don't buy any fancy chemicals or polish. Run each piece silverware underneath very hot water for a while at a very fast speed.
The hot water will polish it. Be sure to hold the piece as far away from the faucet as you can get. When the water falls a greater distance it cleans and polishes better. Then, if you want, take a piece of paper towel and polish it. Nothing added. It may take a couple of sessions of this for very bad tarnish, but it works. I found some silverware that had been sitting in the drawer for 17 years and was almost totally discolored. After a couple of sessions, one spoon looked like brand new. If you want to rub it more, just use your fingers on it, they work just fine.

I will try it as I have lots of tarnished silverware sitting in my kitchen drawer that I rarely use.
