Pricing with ATT

I have ATT wireless. It started at $19.95. Then after one year it went to $46. I called to complain and they brought it down to $23 tho the ad for $19.95 was still running. Just was notified that the bill will go up $5 as of March 1 unless I bundle with TV. I live in a senior mobile home park where we all have the same cable and it is not ATT which is not in my name anyway. My ATT cell phone counts for nothing but of course they would be glad to install a home phone!

I called and when referred to a second rep was told I could either take a $15 discount (from the $46) for a year ($31 per month) or take an extension of the $23 for six months. Given that the $5 increase would be $28 and double the local ad for Cox at $14.95. I decided on the $23 extension for six months which gives me a chance to find something else.

I think the guys in the suits in the corner offices need to visit their grandmothers!

Anyone know how to get around this annual game? Thanks.
