Does anyone have advice about selling silver?

I am trying to help an older woman sell some silver flatware that she has no need to keep. She has about 100 ounces. The pattern is nice, but she has an incomplete set, and it is monogrammed which makes it difficult to sell to a consumer who might want a set to use.

On Tues. I went to three local "we buy gold and silver" shops and took the pieces with me to get an estimate. They were roughly 550, 725, and 1,100-1,300. She was ok with the 1,100-1,300 so went back there together Friday, and the guy said the market had dropped and he could only pay around 925. Well, yes the market did drop but only by about 30 cents max which doesn't translate into hundreds less for her pieces. She didn't sell and wants to watch the market and try to get in when the market is moving up and not down.

Anyone have a better idea? Thanks for any help.

....be willing to match that original offer.

If they don't, then they were acting unethically the entire time, IMO.

Good luck!
