This young Dem lawmaker in NC has a fearlessness, the service resume, the integrity, and the smoothness (which I am not a fan of on its own without the integrity). I am tired of the Debbie W Schultz style of representing Dems on broadcast media - they make me cringe.

Upworthy posted this video of Jefferson Jackson last month, but, it deserved more attention. And Dems here at DU certainly do need to see our bright spots at this time. I think Jeff Jackson will win a congressional seat in his GOP-leaning district. Pittenger's seat, to be more specific. For starters. Then I can see a Sen. Jeff Jackson replacing the BushRepublican Tillis.

So few politicians are worthy of praise, but Jeff Jackson may be one of them. Everything he says for the first three and a half minutes is a fantastic summation of what's wrong with our political process. At 3:47, though, he plays the blame card — just not in the way you'd expect.

1. When I saw your headline, I knew it was going to be Jeff Jackson!!

Saw a clip on WRAL news a while back. Then I found other things on youtube regarding fracking and a short speech he gave on veterans day when he put the legislature to shame.

Have you seen his bio? Masters in philosophy, UNC law school, prosecutor. saw active duty in Afghanistan. And a fearless plain-spoken liberal !!!

Tried to post this once at the North Carolina site, but wasn't able to. Heck, this should be posted on General Discussion to lift everybody's spirits. Look for the Veterans Day speech on youtube.
