Once you have more money than you can spend on a comfortable life, what do you do with more?

Buy power. Imagine having a handful of billionaires competing for power over the universe.

Wolfers makes a solid case for banning billionaires to save humanity.

Once a company reaches stratospheric valuations, it should be nationalized, after paying a fair value to the "owner", similar to how Norway's Sovereign Wealth fund nationalized oil. Distribute the ongoing revenue stream to promote the common good, rather than the useless eaters at the top.

None of those billionaire/trillionaire businesses would be possible without the massive collective investments of individuals and governments in education, research funding, infrastructure, etc. Society deserves a better return on that investment.
