1. Monday is the big day - will the S&P 500 set a new low for this bear market?

The previous closing low for this bear market was 3667 on June 16. (A way to remember: 3666 plus 1)

It closed Friday at 3693, just 26 points (0.7%) away from that. And 23.0% below the Jan 3 all-time high.

Worse than that when one considers the seriously eroding purchasing power of those dollars.

2. My view is very pessimistic

I don't think Dow 17,500 is inconceivable.
