Stocks

So, I’ve been dabbling in the stock market and need some advice.

First, short selling.
I am on the WeBull app, which makes shorting a stock easy.
When I short a stock, the price that appears when I initially confirm the short is the maximum amount I want to short, correct?. Anything sold for less than that amount with the difference from the original short is the profit, correct?

Second, any tips on stocks that might jump up in the next 3-6 months. I am not necessarily looking to be a day trader, just a month(s) trader. I am looking to invest a few hundred dollars, so if I make $50 in the next few months on the sale I’d be happy.

Third, thanks for any and all advice!

If you can buy back the position at a lower price than you sold it short, there is your profit.

Buy low sell high in reverse.
