I can attest they last far beyond 20 years. I have my mother's set she bought in the 1950s. Made in NY. sinkingfeeling Nov 29 #7

but years back I invested in a set of Japanese knives... that are simply the best ever... Kamikoto.

But they cost a small fortune.

I'll bet your set is fabulous, but I only cook because I have to in order to eat healthy food to survive. Lol

I’ve had a set for 20 years and use them every day. Very good quality. American made.

I screen shot it then. It’s more than you asked for but it does have a couple knife sets.

I have not fact checked it yet.

I looked up Cutco. They are indeed made in the USA, but I'm not interested in spending nearly 2k for kitchen knives.

Tyvm again. I'll do more research.

I just popped in there and looked. They do have the CUTCO knives still spendy but not $2000.

I think the CUTCO was knives that about 25 years ago my youngest brother sold them. Essentially it was a door-to-door type of thing (you had to make a sales pitch.)
They were super expensive back then, but it had all the bells and whistles of like never need sharpening, etc..
I did not buy them to much $$$

I'll take a peek, but guessing they are way more than I'm willing to spend.

I just wanted to support US labor & not end up with flatware infused with lead from China.

Must be something about the mfg process because I just bought a Liberty (USA made flatware) for just over $100.

Ty again!
