(4,607 posts)Thats a shipping company that apparently hit all the right things in 2021 and 2022 when the shipping industry had difficulties. Zim apparently operates 152 ships, including 12 auto carriers, and a dozen or so LNG carrier ships, if Im reading it right. They did very well into the pandemic, when shipping rates soared.
As I read the last conference call, it sounds like revenue is lower now, but the profitability margins are still really, really strong. And they are expanding (17% annual rate of revenue growth).
My gut tells me thats a darn good company, and will continue to be stronger than most, with good dividend payouts moving forward. They wont be necessarily the $6 kind if dividend- but it does look like they will be able to afford decent dividends for the foreseeable future.
Id buy and hold for a while. In fact, I just might do that. Thanks for the look at Zim. It looks good to me.
Note: Im not an advisor or anything, Im just a guy who likes to study interesting stocks.

(8,146 posts)I came across this one yesterday evening and have been digging in on some research.
It's an unusual play below the radar I think.
Maybe small position for now while I learn more about it.
Thanks again..
