@ my daughters' elementary school (today's curriculum. Daughters now have 3rd grade boys.)
'Third graders are beginning their Civil Rights unit last week by reading and discussing The Story of Ruby Bridges by Robert Coles. Teachers Laurie and Kathy guided the students through several points of the book to reflect on what it must have been like to go to school during desegregation.'

How dare they teach factual history, knowing full well it might make someone somewhere - someone white - feel uncomfortable?
