Good news. Germany's Neonazis have published their electoral program.
Germany has premature national elections in February 2025, due to some complicated and juicy political drama.
In the polls the far-right AfD party is in 2nd place, at 20%, with the center-right CDU at 30% and the center-left SPD at 15%, and the rest of votes split among smaller parties.
Now the far-right AfD has declared their candidate and published their main electoral program:
- They want Germany to leave the Euro. (Which is a non-starter. Germans love the Euro and the financial freedoms it means.)
- They want Germany to leave the EU. (Which is a non-starter, since everyone saw the economic collapse of Great Britain after Brexit.)
- They want to lift the sanctions on Russia. (The sanctions have strong support in Germany.)
- They want stricter abortion-laws. (Which is a non-starter. Germany has a very strong women's-rights movement since the 1960s.)
The current frontrunner is the center-right candidate. Imagine a centrist Democrat or an old-school Never-Trumper Republican.
