Denmark has hit back against JD Vance’s comments that Copenhagen has not done enough for Greenland.

The US vice-president made his remark on Friday during a trip to the Pituffik space base in north-western Greenland, viewed by both Copenhagen and Nuuk as a provocation.

“Our message to Denmark is very simple: you have not done a good job by the people of Greenland,” Vance told a press conference.

The Danish foreign minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, said on X on Saturday: “We are open to criticisms, but let me be completely honest, we do not appreciate the tone in which it’s being delivered.

3. The US has gone from having a significant number of allies to now maybe having only 2.

I suppose Hungary is an ally since Republicans constantly praise Orban for his dictatorship. Netanyahu is an ally so long as Trump supplies as many bombs as possible and supports Bibi’s plans to take over all of Gaza and the West Bank and either kill Palestinians or force them to leave with nowhere to go.

Neither Putin nor Xi is actually an ally because both would be overjoyed at the destruction of the US as a global leader.

Quite a dubious accomplishment to alienate almost every country in the world in two short months.
