Something Else is Beginning to Break Inside Russia - The Global Gambit - Pyotr Kurzin
Something else is beginning to break inside Russia. And no, I'm not talking about the economy this time.
Behind the front lines and away from the battlefield, pressure is building inside the Kremlin itself. Elite confidence is eroding, power is being quietly consolidated, and the state is burning through the very mechanisms that once kept it stable.
In this video, I examine how Russias war effort has entered an untenable phase not because the system has suddenly collapsed, but because its room to manoeuvre is shrinking fast. From the growing role of the FSB in controlling key economic chokepoints, to the behavioural shifts among Russias wealthy and well-connected, the signs point toward fragmentation at the top rather than cohesion.
Russias system is resilient. But resilience is not the same as sustainability. And as uncertainty spreads, loyalty becomes conditional and regimes built on elite balance begin to strain.
