Governor boldly defies Republican AG to protect trans people's access to accurate birth certificates

Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly (D) has directed state agencies to continue to allow transgender citizens to change the gender markers on their birth certificates and driver’s licenses in defiance of Republican Attorney General Kris Kobach.

The governor’s directive comes days after Kobach announced formal legal guidance on enforcing S.B. 180, a sweeping new anti-trans law passed in April and set to take effect on July 1.

I don't get it?

I have long, time close friends...and I have NEVER asked to see a DL or BC for any one or all of them! I like them as friends and what the hell ever is on one of those documents is totally meaningless, totally irrelevant to me.

And...what the hell difference does it make to any state? Is there a difference re how straights, gays, bi's, trans people drive??? GMAFB!!!

For Je-bus sake...I wish these RW anti-trans assholes would get their noses out of people's crotches and take care of things that matter...like mass shootings, poverty, etc. There are a so many issues that are important. An F or M on a legal document is not and should not be a priority. It simply does not matter!!!!
