Judge snaps at Trump administration lawyers for ‘gaslighting’ over trans military ban

Government lawyers are challenging an order from Judge Ana Reyes that temporarily blocks Trump’s directive

The federal judge presiding over a challenge to Donald Trump’s ban on transgender service members in the U.S. military unloaded on government lawyers on Friday after the administration asked to dissolve a ruling that blocks the president’s order from taking effect.

On Tuesday, District Judge Ana Reyes in Washington, D.C., temporarily blocked the Department of Defense from removing trans troops, a policy she condemned as “soaked in animus” relying on language that is “unabashedly demeaning” with evidence that “bears no relation to fact.”

Her order was set to take effect at 10 a.m. Friday to give the administration time to appeal.

But moments before the deadline, lawyers with the Department of Justice announced new guidance for trans service members and called on the judge to dissolve her order.

... how these attorneys prostituting themselves to enforce Trump's illegal edicts can bear looking in the mirror. I should think the visage they behold would make them retch. But then, only sociopaths can support and defend the malicious whims of a sociopath.

I think too many conservative attorneys see “pushing the Executive Branch power” as an intellectual exercise. They either don’t care or don’t see the damage done to everyday Americans.

Personally, I believe this fight is about right and wrong not blue/red, progressive/conservative.

Placing Bibles and the 10 commandments in classrooms does not solve anything.

Forcing your beliefs on other people doesn’t solve anything.

Judging people by their economic status or skin color or who they love doesn’t solve anything.

This country was founded on the principle that all people are born with inherent rights, including life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, that cannot be taken away by any government.

The idea Cheeto Man placed a copy of the Declaration of Independence in his office makes me laugh! Talk about lack of self awareness. Pffttt
