Covid or plain cold? Runny nose, watery eyes, some cough, no fever?

Yes, did get the flu shot last week.

Next door neighbor has Covid. We talked across the driveways for a few minutes, no masks either, but six ft distance.

I have felt crappy since the time change and election craziness. Chalking it up to too much alcohol, not enough food or sleep. Started feeling better and got this news. I was hoping they would have told me that I didn’t need to be tested, but they said I did.

Be safe

If feasible, I'd suggest getting tested for peace of mind. Sounds a lot like allergies. Mine have been especially bad this year and I've had many days with the same symptoms.

but if your chest starts to feel tight like you can't take a deep breath, get a test. If your temperature is 100.4 or more, get a test.

6 feet is not enough for unmasked people. 10 is better. If you were on opposite sides of a driveway, that was about 10 feet and your chance of being exposed was minimal.

I did my monthly grocery trip on Thursday and the vibe was weird, people are definitely spooked. It's still not horrendous in the city but the rural counties here are getting slammed.

sense of smell is not affected.
I also have small bottle of lavender oil on night table and oil of peppermint on breakfast table to sniff for their benefits as needed.

We had a teammate at work who thought she was just having allergies but just to make sure she got a test. Unfortunately, since she was so certain it wasn't covid, she decided to continue work until she got the results. She didn't tell anyone at that point. But guess what? She was positive. She ended up endangering the rest of the employees she had contact with plus the patients she interacted with. Now everyone is mad at her.

Plus, we had a patient at the hospital who had almost all symptoms and tested negative four times, the fifth test was positive. So, I think false negatives are common.
