I had giant hives like continents for a little over a year that went away. I didnt take steroids. But worked full-time on 4 Benedryl
In Am & 4 Benedryl at 5 PM.
Might have been launched by chemical exposure & stress

I am nervous about vaccine because Ive had several over the top histamine reactions 🤷🏻♀️
Your thoughts?

(5,849 posts)They said it was a symptom of her having auto immune disorders. She grew out of it, but every once in awhile she gets flare up.

(55,829 posts)especially in the winter - my doc called it idiopathic - makes docs look like idiots
he put me on a combo of generic zyrtec and famotidine and it seems to keep it under control

(31,856 posts)I would develop patches as big as the palm of my hand. I used OTC Zyrtec to control the itch.

(3,296 posts)that were subcutaneous and only on my face. As soon as I quit the stressful job I had that I absolutely hated, they stopped. Another time I had hives was immediately following a car accident, started getting hives days later. Had to have a steroid shot and Dr said it was likely from the stress of the accident.
If nothing in your diet or surroundings has changed, are you perhaps under some new stress?

Im calling my weight gain that started last Wednesday my Coup pounds. No drugs or alcohol so food & 10,000 steps

(8,125 posts)My (Italian) doctor gave me something for it (don't remember -- it was the 80's) and suggested baking soda baths, which soothed the pain.
