New eye drug targets both age-related and diabetes-linked vision loss - CNA

A new eye drug is now available to treat those who have age-related or diabetes-related vision loss. Developed by the Singapore Eye Research Institute and pharmaceutical firm Roche, it is the first to target both conditions together. The treatment also provides a longer-lasting remedy for patients.

I thought the world was blurry til the teacher told my mom to get my eyes checked. That was early in elementary school. First time I put on a pair, I was shocked! Holy Cow! The world had edges! Who knew?

The video shows them squirting the eyes

About 20 years ago, they did actual injections with a needle to stop some bleeding due Actos. It was not fun

Obviously the fear of having something injected into your eyes would likely scare most people away from the procedure.

10. They still do injections into the eyeball for certain conditions.

It is scary, but not as bad as it sounds. I find the idea of losing my vision scarier, so I put up with it!

11. I've always had terrible vision problems.

I've not been able to see beyond my nose since I was little. I'd let them poke the heck out of my eyes if I could see better! Poke away and let me see, please!

But, this would only help my near issues, which don't bother me too much. That's a small thing easily mitigated to my reality. Dual vision issues are a real PITA. You adapt to not seeing at a distance then your up close is taken away. Right now I use one eye for each. It works out fine. Our brains are much more adaptable than we realize.
