In fact, it gave them a more secure place to sit while they did it.

You can't win with cats. Ever.

I read about toilet spray several years ago. Most public toilets don't have lids you can close, so I make sure I'm completely dressed, have my purse in hand, & the door to the stall unlocked before pressing the flush lever & then I dart out as quickly as I can.

so my face isn't anywhere near the bowl when the lidless public toilet flushes.

I'm not as worried about intestinal bugs in the air, most are destroyed by UVB light and the usual ghastly fluorescent lighting produces adequate amounts of that.

and I think this is one reason why.

I've been stomping on those levers since I was a teenager, always knew hanging my face over a flushing toilet was a bad idea.

B/c I was thinking the person before me didn’t sit down but just squatted over the bowl n missed. Yuck. Now, I’m gonna carry Clorox or Lysol wipes in my pocketbook..I gave that up n just put my debit card in my pocket but..now I guess I’ll carry something for the wipes. 🙀

12. settles the "seat debate"

Everyone has to open and close the toilet. That settles the "seat debate" once and for all. Also it improves your immune system by having it deal with less unnecessary work. I heard about this during the first SAARS outbreak and have been doing this or covering my mouth and nose when flushing in public.
