Related: About this forum***Follow up, surgery scheduled (maybe tentative) for June 7,
w Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon I just met (yesterday) and like, and at Hopkins facility I like, wherein I had such a good room while they were drawing and studying my Precious Bodily Fluids ((really gotta watch that movie again!))
Surprised hospital stay will NOT be lengthy, but rather more like 1 or 2 nights, then return home to cottage, with 'light' supervision helping me.
Regular outpatient physical therapy part of the plan, as well as regular visits and consultations back @ Hopkins.
I've volunteered to participate in LOTS of studies, so riding to and fro FREQUENTLY. Gonna have to compensate my friend who drives me, so not exactly resting. Also pre-op stuff, w my 'primary' doc, so lots happening! (ANd too windy to be able to get good pics of 'my' osprey, but life moves on!)

(136,595 posts)Interesting that an early childhood experience I told surgeon about, and he agrees it may indicate I had this condition (hydrocephalus) as a child! Symptoms only 'burdensome' as an adult.
