Im super depressed today. I had my gallbladder removed months ago. Like an idiot I ate half a pint of full fat ice cream and heavy whipped cream. I know I'm a moron. Now I'm getting some pain where my GB was.

(836 posts)After surgery is a rough time. Your body doesn't feel right and you are fatigued. Of course you want some comfort food. I lost my gb years ago and, over time, one learns what one can 'get away with.' For example, I can have a fried fish&chips dinner or I can have a fried fish&hush puppies dinner, but if I eat fried fish, all the French fries, and all three hush puppies, well, it isn't pretty. So you are just learning the ropes. It will get better.

(24,145 posts)Still getting some nausea--especially after breakfast if I have oatmeal. Go figure.
My surgeon did send me home with anti-nausea meds.
Oatmeal?
