If I recall correctly, I bawled my eyes out during that movie. Is there another Old Yeller that I don't know about?

ETA: I watched Almost Famous recently and enjoyed the heck out of it.
It’s not really sappy, but it’s definitely feel good.

I also have Almost Famous. Haven't watched that in a couple years. I got a kick out of seeing Pauley Parrette (Abbey on NCIS) in that! Also I was a big Anna Paquin fan at the time, and who doesn't absolutely love Zooey Deschanel?

It's probably the ultimate sappy, feel-good movie...in a good way. It's not just a Christmas story.

I had such a crush on Shirley McClain. For some reason that movie will always be associated in my mind with Days of Wine and Roses. Probably the Jack Lemon connection. For some reason Lee Remick's line in Swedish, "Tillsammans i himlen." (I'm just guessing at the spelling) has stuck in my mind for the last 60 years!!!

It’s a great movie, but, it’s harsh and painful to watch at times.
