Best series I've ever seen.
SpiralIt's a French series with sub-titles that brings together the police, lawyers and judges in the French Judicial system (which is quite different from ours) to solve various crimes.
It is exciting, complex, and character-driven with interesting plots and sub-plots. The writing is fantastic and the acting is realistic and highly believable. It's also a bit violent, but then, criminals and crime tend to be violent.
It may improve your high school French too. (It surely will add to your knowledge of French swear words)
There are 8 Seasons! After finishing all 8, I actually went back and watched all 8 again. It's that good.

(42,770 posts)And can't seem to stop watching it. On Episode 6. I've discovered you really have to give these foreign films a chance. Takes an episode or two to get into the rhythm for me. But in English so no need to read subtitles.
