Netflix: Cobra Kai
I held off watching this series because I knew the acting would be sub-par and the writing would be weak, but I started watching it this weekend.
The writing is weak, the plot(s) are ridiculous most of the time, but there is something about the Karate Kid. I had just finished high school when the first movie came out. I believe I watched it at least 10 times through the years.
I can't say that it's the best thing that I've ever seen, but I can't stop watching it.
The Blue Flower

Croney
(4,925 posts)They started out hating each other, and gradually put their differences aside. They admitted their mistakes and tried to make amends. Quite moralistic actually.

(4,925 posts)Yes, it's hokey. During Covid lockdown, we were desperate for something to watch. We were so sorry when it ended!
(We went on to watch Last Tango in Halifax next if I recall correctly, and loved that too).

(10,825 posts)It was kinda hokey and predictable. But I did watch the whole thing and enjoyed it anyway. If they made another season, I'd watch it again.
