The Bear. Hulu

A young chef from the fine dining world comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death in his family.
This is an eight-episode tour de force. Superb acting across the board. Episode 7 was mostly filmed in one shot. Impressive.

Sadly, after working outside in the heat, I crashed before the first episode was over. I will watch it later again. I thought it was really good, what I saw. Very fast though so if you have to use closed captioning like I do be prepared to read fast!

restaurant folks say this is as real as it gets. The cast even trained at some LA eateries. For fans of Shameless, the main character is the actor who played Lip. He is fantastic....

the kid *was* Lip. Well, except for his brother Shane (Walking Dead).

Also, Marnie's (Girls) creepy boyfriend was also in this.

And The Bear is a tour de force. Absolutely the best series of this season.
