Wednesday on Netflix. It's a howler.

Just finished the first episode. Love it! Interest keeps growing with scenes of very popular actors. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Larissa Weems, Brienne of Tarth from GOT, and of course, Christina Ricci!

Great Wednesday dry, witty style dialogue.

Recommend.

The actor who plays Wednesday is incredible and I love how she acts with her eyes. Plus I love the very large snark! I'm on episode 5 now and it remains excellent.

It’s Harry Potter meet Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
It’s fun, but the Addams Family isn’t really the focus.
I did catch some cute callbacks to Large Marge from Pee Wee’s Big Adventure.

I love this wednesday and her sass, style etc. Read an article today it's scored higher on Rotten Tomatoes than the 90's versions. (and while I loved them, agreed)

This one stays closer to the original comics in casting IMO

And the dance scene will be iconic for ages!

I have two complaints, though.

The music was so loud it often drowned out the actor's voices. I had to turn on closed caption so I wouldn't miss important dialog.

Also, I don't recall that Uncle Fester was a criminal. My recollection was that he was just quirky & kooky, but in this series, he robbed a bank. ???

I thought it was a nice touch to have Christina Ricci in the cast.

Agree, recommended!

Watching it for a second time.

We should probably have another thread to point out all the Easter eggs that we spot.
