I reluctantly started watching the new "Lost in Space"
I was hesitant because I remember the cheesy show back in the 60s. It was so corny! But my daughter kept telling me how good the new show on Netflix was so I decided to give it a try. It's very well done. And it has almost nothing to do with the original show. The acting and special effects are great. And Parker Posey plays a villain, which is a weird role for her. And she really pulls it off!
If you're looking for a pretty decent sci-fi show give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

(18,670 posts)Lots of Easter eggs referencing the original show. Excellent cast- my favourites were Molly Parker, who played Maureen, and the actress who played Penny, but the whole ensemble was great, and gave the show the sense of family and heart that made it great.
3rd and final season suffered the COVID curse affecting many streaming shows filming during the pandemic - fewer episodes funded, requiring storylines to be condensed or truncated, and the majority of the scenes only involve 2-3 characters at a time, to minimize the risk of the entire cast getting infected.
Still, it was great to see the Robinson family complete their story.

(3,847 posts)I think it was season 1, cannot remember the exact characters. One said to the other "I will have to check with my associate, Peter Packer".
