1. One of my "go to" favorite movies. Great actors and plot. Truly scary.

Audrey Hepburn does a fantastic job. I read that she studied with blind people for days to help her understand their lives, fears, etc. The little girl, "Gloria" was so good, too. It was shocking when she had that tantrum and started throwing things around on the floor - I didn't expect it. She played a very valuable role later in the movie . Truly suspenseful to the very end.

7. Alan Arkin said in a Bob Costas interview

that he wrote to Audrey Hepburn years after the film was released to tell her that he had always felt guilty for his character being so mean to her.

He never got a response from her and couldn't be sure if she received his note of apology.

8. A slightly similar movie is "See No Evil" (1971) with Mia Farrow. Very scary.

i knew it would be this movie. screaming in the theater! i was 12 years old at the time.

The last time I decided to try to find their apartment on Google Maps since I lived in Greenwich Village and it was unfamiliar.

My favorite part is when the girl phones her and she puts two and two together.
